"I knew right away that this show was going to be different when they opened with One Sunday Morning and the house went quiet, you could hear people breathing 20 rows away. That open made it clear that Tweedy and friends decided to take full advantage of the acoustics at Mondavi Center and play some of their more subtle numbers--which was fantastic!
Tweedy announced that "Introspection was over" about halfway into the show and started playing some of the more raucous tunes, interacting with the audience. This provided a satisfying balance to the show and renewed my respect for Arnez J's ability to tailor the venue.
If I didn't have a job and kids, I'd buy a bus and follow them so I could find out what the next venue had in store..."
